Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a water-based paint on wood that I have treated with Arc Wood Preservative?

Yes, once the Arc Wood Preservative has fully dried, which is typically after 24 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.

Which side of the Interlinx 3GG decoupling membrane should face up during installation?

The decoupling membrane should be installed with the cavities facing upwards. Ensure that the membrane naturally unfolds as you roll it out. This orientation allows for proper airflow and vapor management between the substrate and the tile, allows any moisture or vapor to escape, preventing it from getting trapped beneath the tile surface.

Can I apply High Build in two 50mm applications?

High Build can be applied in 2 layers each of up to 50mm. Allow the first layer to fully set and prime with one coat of Tilers Primer diluted 1:3 with water followed by a neat coat and allowed to dry before applying the second layer. Given the increased depths, drying times will be increased.
